I have bumper stickers that say "Think Dangerously" and "I Think... Therefore I am Dangerous." Do you think that much? Oh -- my car license plate says THK 4YSF. Yes, thinking is very important to me. Thinking has led me into books, out of churches, around corners, and into worlds of creativity and adventure. Intellectual Passions is the site here, and I'm indeed passionate about learning and about exploring ideas of all kinds -- from history to current events, from science to philosophy, and from here to there. My fav philosophers range from Aristotle to Nietzsche. I enjoy taking "The Great Courses" from The Teaching Company and have done a couple dozen of them. I enjoy taking special classes, listening to lectures, visiting museums and national parks, and going to seminars on a wide range of subjects, such those hosted by the Center for Inquiry or Council for Secular Humanism. My education: H.S. valedictorian; BA with honor from Wheaton College (IL), M.Ed. (Kutztown, PA), plus 30 additional credits. I've retired after 33 years of teaching and am looking for a colleague to share travel and pursue adventure as well as to share books and discuss ideas. In all ways we should explore as much of this great world as we can in the time we're alloted.
