Proud Band Nerd

I enjoy a good discussion on just about any topic. I enjoy music, from hip hop to oldies to classical--anything but country. I play clarinet in a community band. I like to have fun and laugh. I'm not much of a daredevil but maybe if you hold my hand I'll be brave. I enjoy movies of all kinds (but not too many chick flicks), reading, museums, live theater and comedy shows and checking out new places. I feel that I'm pretty easy to get along with. I'm very compassionate and thoughtful. I love kids and animals, so if you have either--that's great! I'm looking for someone who is intelligent and can keep up with me in a conversation--and that doesn't necessarily mean he has to have a college education. What that does mean is I like to talk! Do you like to listen?? And contribute to the conversation?? I am looking for someone who values me as a the sum of all my parts--the whole cannot exist without the parts. I would like to meet someone who is thoughtful and caring, someone who is laid back and calm, and who can bring out the best in me. I would like to share a love of movies and current events. I would like to experience new things with someone who enjoys them as much as I do. I think the ingredients of a great relationship are that you each bring out the best in each other and that both people in the relationship are willing to give of themselves for the benefit of the other.
