Hi and welcome to Jojo's blog. I'm a new member to the Intellectual passions blog and I just saw this as a way to blow off some steam and possibly engage in some thought provoking interaction with different persons from around the world. Maybe my expectations are too much, after all this is the world wide web, and there are hundreds of thousands of persons that blog and their work never get a single hit. Well, this is funny. I've just realized something(well not really I knew it all the time,I just decided to now start doing it) there are forces at work behind the scenes that try to make me have terrible days. Call it what you want, karma, demons, angels in disguise, call them what you may. But I just know, that something always tries to cause me to have a terrible day and to return to the place of defeat that I had just arisen from. But today I say no to it. cI always began late.. be it any technology, gadgets..a good movie..or just awakening. i am now 49 years, and then i think its never too late in life. I believe there is some calling one gets to hear at some point of time in ones life span, when, one tends to drift away into wilderness..just not knowing where it leads to. When one sings to himself and enjoys it, talks to him self..the conversations carry on. Your search engine begins to kick in...I think we all have an inbuilt programmed... No comments

I’ve finally finished “Crime and Punishment” and…find myself, with this book, extremelely impressed by Dostoyevsky’s writing abilities. (I read in “Notes” in college and yet didn’t feel quite as moved.) I know that must sound pretty grossly naive, simple and pretentious all at once–this is of course FIDOR DOSTOYEVSKY we’re discussing–but I’m not the type of person to be so easily convinced by the assignment of defintive iconic literary brilliance by the amorphous ‘everyone.’...
